It lasts From Thanksgiving to Valentine’s Day. However, the last 5 weeks of the year, from Thanksgiving to New Year’s is when most couples get engaged.
Maybe is the fact that families get together around this time, or maybe is the twinkling lights, or the crisp winter breeze, and romantic atmosphere with snowflakes falling that make this the most exciting time to pop the question. Vendors like me in the wedding industry; we must take advantage and be prepared to target these couples that are getting ready to tie the knot.
Here are 5 tips to get ready for and take on Engagement Season in full force:
1. Social Media - Regularly post high-quality images and videos/reels of wedding cakes on your social media platforms to get these couples thinking of you as a viable option for their upcoming nuptials.
2. Discounts - Offer limited-time discounts or special packages for couples who book their wedding cake with you during engagement season.
3. Tastings - Offer complimentary tasting sessions during this time to entice potential clients so when they are ready to book they come to you.
4. Testimonials - Encourage satisfied clients to share their experiences and reviews online. Positive reviews and testimonials can be highly influential during engagement season as most couples decide on vendors when recommended by word-of-mouth.
5. Collaboration - Collaborate with other wedding professionals. When partnering with other vendors such as florists, photographers, venues, etc. either to create content, cross-promote or creating wedding packages you’re widening your cast net of potential clients, as well as developing professional relationships and that can be beneficial for both parties.
Planning ahead and being prepared will always help stay ahead of the curve. Implementing these tips and strategies will help you standout, attract more clients, and ultimately grow your business.
